The Intergalactica chat feature is fully anonymous. Users are assigned random 4-digit numeric IDs per session. Chat messages are not stored permanently, are not linked to any identity, and are visible only to users currently in the chat room. Messages may be moderated by an automated system (Artax) for topicality.
We implement reasonable security measures to protect the limited data we handle. Since we collect no personal information, the risk surface is minimal. All connections to Ozymandias are encrypted via HTTPS.
